It’s a sad day in South America.
Telenovela actress and 2005 Miss Venezuela Monica
Spear tragically died while on vacation in Caracas,
Venezuela.
Thomas Berry and their 5-year-old daughter Maya
when they were shot and killed while driving in their
car.
The family was driving down the highway when they
got into a minor accident that stranded their car.
Eventually armed men approached the car and opened
fire, killing Monica and Henry in the process.
Her daughter Maya was shot in the leg but thankfully
she survived.
Reportedly police found them because Monica and
Henry had called a tow truck BEFORE the armed men
attacked them.
Monica was 29 at the time of death and one of the
most famous actresses in Venezuela. She appeared in
nearly a dozen telenovelas.
